(En)exits

Enactus Utrecht was founded in 2005. A lot has happened in the past 15 years. Many ideas have been developed, some of which have evolved into social enterprises. One more successful than the other, but they do have one thing in common: their existence has led to an important impact on large groups of vulnerable people. Other companies proved so successful that they have now entered the market independently, also known as (en)exits!

De Klimaatjes

De Klimaatjes has developed a board game that gives children as leaders of a city the task of making it more sustainable. By answering questions and dilemmas, they learn about the different aspects and perspectives of sustainability. The aim is to gain more knowledge about the subject through play, cooperation and discussion.

SpelenderGrijs

SpelenderGrijs aims to reduce loneliness among the elderly in the Netherlands. They do this by arranging performances in nursing homes, provided by talented students. Think of dance workshops, singing performances, lectures, beer tastings and much more.

KlikStart

‘Young makes old familiar with the internet.’
Klikstart has the ambition to help the elderly to become part of the digital world. They do this by organizing computer courses aimed at older people who would like to learn more about how to use laptops, tablets and the internet. In collaboration with Rabobank Utrecht, ROC Midden Nederland and various healthcare institutions, Klikstart provides an extensive teaching package. Klikstart distinguishes itself by offering the combination of professional knowledge and the cozy atmosphere during the lessons where young and old come together.

Rebottled

Rebottled stands for a more social and sustainable world. They help by believing that upcycling is the new recycling. In this way they save as many wine bottles as possible and make new drinking glasses from them. All this takes place at a workshop of the Salvation Army in Utrecht, which gives people with a distance to the labor market the opportunity to improve their lives. Rebottled saved no less than 1355 empty wine bottles in a short time, saved 304.88 kilos of glass waste and helped 17 people find work.

Bostelbakkers

De Bostelbakkers prevent wastage of food and human resources. They do this by connecting newcomers and students by baking cakes made from brewer’s spent grains. In this way they save what would otherwise be thrown away. Brewer’s grains are left over after brewing beer, which the Bostel bakers use in a delicious recipe. The biscuits they bake together with the newcomers are for sale at various locations in Utrecht. The Bostelbakkers want to act as a springboard to society for newcomers and they strive to be a source of inspiration for society.
